World War III and Third World War are the names given to a fictional Third World War post-World War I major military conflict. The term has been in use since a minimum of 1941. Some have applied it loosely to ask limited or minor conflicts, like the conflict or the War on Terror, while others assumed that such conflicts would surpass pre-World Wars. Due to the event and use of nuclear weapons at the top of war II, and their subsequent acquisition and deployment by many countries, the possible risk of nuclear destruction of Earth's civilization and life is a common topic in speculation about a Third World War. . Another major concern is that biological warfare is caused by accidental or unintentional accidental accident of a biological agent, unexpected mutation of an agent, or its adaptation to other species after use. Before the beginning of World War II, World War I (1914–1918) was considered a "war to end all wars", as it was believed that such a global conflict might once again be possible. .
